Ritratti abusivi is the story of an Italian suburb and its inhabitants: the community of Parco Saraceno housing estate. Cooped up in an environment of endless squalor for at least ten years, the squatter residents of the Park live caught between violence and the dream of a normal life. But the fate of Parco Saraceno is already decided. In a few years it will all be torn down to make way for a marina.

Born in London in 1974. His father is a British citizen from London and his mother is from Matera. The family moved to Pisa where Roan took a degree in Modern Literature. He attended the Experimental Centre of Cinematography in Rome. He made his debut in 2002 as a writer for various television dramas including Commissario De Luca and Raccontami. He then studied modern German literature, history and politics at the Free University of Berlin until the year 2000 The same year he began to study film directing at the Filmhochschule (film school) in Potsdam-Babelsberg. He was born on September 10, 1914 in Winchester, Indiana. Third of three brothers from a German-Dutch family, at the age of 19 he enteredat the RKO Pictures. In 1941 he edited nothing less than Orson Welles’ masterpiece Citizen Kane. He has also been an added director in the controversial The Magnificent Ambersonsin 1942.
Born in Naples in 1988. After gaining a degree in Communication Sciences at the University Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples, he enrolled at the "Pigrecoemme" school of cinema, television and photography in Naples. Together with colleagues from Amygdala Production, he has made commercials, music videos and the web-series They Walk in Naples, in co-production with Naviganti InVersi theatre and cultural association.
