Biography of the director: 
Emmanuel Carrère, graduated at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris, starts working as a film critic for Télérama magazine. The novel L'amie du jaguar marks his debut. They will follow others, such as The Adversary- The Story of Jean-Claude Romand - where, besides appearing as a narrator present to the facts, will dirty the pages of mere reality. Carrère, in parallel, continues to work in the cinematic world: he writes numerous scripts based on Georges Simenon's texts and collaborates with the screenplay of television fiction. In 2006 he won the Golden Efebo for the movie The Moustache, after his own novel. On August 7, 2016 he received the Literary Prize Giuseppe Tomasi of Lampedusa for The Kingdom.
