Regalo di natale

di Pupi Avati (Ita, 1986, 101')* mer 9 h 18,00 Four old friends, Lele, Ugo, Stefano and Franco, decide to get together on Christmas Eve - unbeknownst to their families - at the house of a friend of Stefano's for an evening of poker. Also present is a mysterious and wealthy industrialist, Antonio Santelia. The game starts and things turn interesting with some hard playing. It soon becomes clear that the real battle is between two of them: Santelia and Franco.

Si è diplomato all’Atelier de cinéma d’animation de l’ENSAV La Cambre (Laboratorio di film d’animazione presso ENSAV La Cambre). È uno dei tre fondatori di L'Enclume, creato a Bruxelles nel 2007, uno studio di animazione che si occupa della produzione di cortometraggi, pubblicità, lungometraggi, video musicali, serie televisive... Dal 2009, Rémi insegna alla Scuola di computer grafica Albert Jacquard di Namur.

Renato Giugliano

Piedimonte Matese, Caserta – 09/10/1977 Renato Giugliano è un regista di fiction e documentari. Nato a Piedimonte Matese (CE) nel 1977, si laurea in economia del Turismo e si trasferisce a Roma per studiare sceneggiatura e regia cinematografica; nel 2004 va a Bologna dove studia e lavora con Ermanno Olmi (ipotesICinema, Terra Madre) e collabora con diverse produzioni europee (Horizons, BBC, Nukleus Film, Cineteca di Bologna); tra le sue esperienze è stato primo aiuto regia, operatore alla macchina e montatore video.

Renato Scarpa

One of the best character actors in the Italian film production; he has always distinguished himself thanks to his professionalism, eclecticism and perfectionism. He was born in Milan on September 14th 1939. His performing debut was brilliant; he worked with the Taviani Brothers in Sotto il segno dello scorpione. He was directed by Marco Bellocchio in Nel nome del padre in 1972 and then by the Taviani Brothers again in San Michele aveva un gallo.

Carol, a Belgian manicurist lives with her sister Hélène in a flat in London. The girl is very attractive but is frightened of men and unable form relationships. A young man shows an interest in her – at first it bothers her then she seems to yield. Carol slowly feels her denial of reality pushing her into another dimension, until she ends up killing the landlord who had come for the rent and tried to seduce her. Her isolation in the house with the dead body leads to the terrifying hallucinations.
