In contemporary rural Iceland, a nine-year-old rebel child, Sól, is sent to the farm of a distant relative, to work and mature, according to the tradition of these places. Nature seems endless there and the animals more expressive and profound, but the people are hard and rigid. All but the mysterious laborer Jón, who - like Sól - likes words more than people. But this meeting is overturned by the farmer's daughter, Ásta, who will soon involve the girl in a drama that she can hardly understand.

Year 1993, the bleakest time of war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A group of actors from Belgrade, utterly unaware of what they're setting themselves up for, embark on a search for quick earnings - on a "tour" around the Serbian Krajina. However, there they are thrust into the heart of war and begin to wander from war front to war front, from one army to the next.

In the year 2013 a strange infection spreads across the city of Naples, turning all the inhabitants into zombies. This actually improves the situation. Or maybe it doesn't. Depends on your point of view. This is the story of a group of survivors.
Thierry Grenade has worked as an assistant director and producer and has also produced a trilogy of documentaries filmed in China. Teona and Thierry met ten years ago on the set of a short film and have worked together on several projects. Dzma (Brother) is their first film together.
Thomas Stuber was born in Leipzig in 1981. Since 2002, he has worked on several movies and television productions as a screenwriter and assistant director. From 2004 to 2011 he studied screenwriting at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. While completing her studies, he received numerous awards for his short film, Es geht uns gut (We're Fine, 2006) and for Teenage Angst (2008), the latter invited to the Berlin Film Festival.
