Da Schermo Napoli al red carpet del Napoli Film Festival Domani sera Francesco Prisco apre gli Incontri Ravvicinati

He started out and grew up in Napoli Film Festival. Tonight, Tuesday 30 September at 21.30 Francesco Prisco will be the guest of the first of the "Close Encounters" public meetings of Napoli Film Festival 2014 at Cinema Victoria (21.30, admission €5), thus completing his journey from emerging talent to established director. Prisco has previously participated twice in the Napoli Screen short films section, with Fuori uso and then La colpa - the short that earned him his Napoli Film Festival Award. The Neapolitan festival served as his training ground for breaking into the world of feature films and achieving success with Nottetempo, a dark and shadowy story starring Giorgio Pasotti and Gianfelice Imparato. The film will be shown tomorrow night at the Vittoria. Prisco will be in attendance for conversation with the public followed by the screening of Nottetempo. But the second day of the Napoli Film Festival starts off earlier in the afternoon at the Cervantes Institute, with a window on the work of Spanish director Julio Medem: at 18:00 (free admission) there will be a screening of Sex and Lucia, in the original version with subtitles. Loads of screenings for Schermo Napoli Documentaries and Shorts. The Pan will show three documentaries focusing on crisis areas in different parts of the world. This is followed by Hurrya Ciro Scuotto (Eng\Fra\Ita, 2013, 40'), exploring the plight of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, while Ahora, no Aquì by Stefano Cipressi and Pamela Wulf (Chile, 2013, 29') looks at stories of the disappeared during the Chilean dictatorship.  Starting at 17:00 (admission € 5), the Cinema Vittoria features a long and exciting procession of films from Schermo Napoli Shorts - a five-hour journey to discover the ideas and movie-making methods of a new generation of filmmakers.
