The film tells of the hazardous story of love between two young people of different ethnicity.
Álvaro Fernández Armero was born in Madrid on March 6, 1969. After he studied Philosophy, he began film director with the short film The Merry-Go-Round, entirely shot in the Madrid subway. In 1994 his first film came, the comedy It’s All Lie he is nominated for Best Director at the Goya Awards. The cast collects some of the most important promises of Spanish cinema. He is also director of a documentary about the life of motorcyclist Ángel Nieto, titled Ángel Nieto: 12 + 1 with which he won a César Agüí Prize.
Amanda Kernell was born in 1986 in Umeå, from a Swedish mother and father sámi. She graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in Copenhagen in 2013, beginning her career as a film director, screenwriter and teacher. In 2007 she directed her first short film Våra discon, which will be followed by several others, including Att dela allt (2009) and Stoerre Vaerie (2015). Inspired by his sámi origins, in 2016 he debuted with his first feature film Sámi Blood, referring to events and stories of elderly relatives and people belonging to this ethnic group.
Giacomo e Samuele sono due giovani ragazzi nati e cresciuti in una piccola provincia del sud Italia, in un ambiente dalla mentalità chiusa e dal profondo mare aperto, da sempre fonte di sostengo e guadagno per la gente umile del posto. In una terra così piccola e anziana, la forte amicizia che nasce tra i due non impiega troppo a trasformarsi in qualcosa di più. Due giovani colpevoli solo del loro amore che riescono a tenere in vita la loro relazione segreta, con la promessa di scappar via e poter urlare al mondo il loro forte sentimento. Ma un giorno qualcosa va storto.
Elio (40), giovane pescatore napoletano, deve incontrarsi con Maddalena (41), avvocato e ex-moglie, per ultimare le pratiche del loro divorzio. La scoperta però di un dettaglio di lei porterà l’uomo a dover fare i conti con i suoi sentimenti.
