He is one of the most promising emerging Italian directors. He was born in Rome on March 20th 1978. After taking a degree in Modern Literature in 2002 he enrolled in the Experimental Cinema Centre in Rome, where he graduated in 2005. In the meantime, he collaborated with the television program Blob and studied jazz guitar at the Saint Louis Music Centre of his hometown. His purpose was to direct a film and be able to also compose its soundtrack. He debuted in 2009 with the film The House in the Clouds, a road-movie awarded at the Rome MedFilm Festival and at the Brussels Film Festival.
He was born in Rome on June 22, 1965. Brother of Pino Insegno. Actor and theater director, he has also worked for film and television. It appeared in the films Demons directed by Lamberto Bava and My First 40 Years by Carlo Vanzina. He gives is voice in the television series Simpson and Muppets. As a film director he shoots his first film in 2010, Alta Infedelta '(High-Infidelity). And Than It Is Night is his fifth film direction.
Claus Drexel, nato il 24 giugno 1968, è uno sceneggiatore e regista tedesco che lavora principalmente in Francia. Di origine bavarese, Claus Drexel è arrivato a Grenoble all'età di tre anni. Da adolescente era appassionato di football americano, giocando in 2^ e 1^ divisione francese con i Grenoble Centaurs. Dopo gli studi scientifici e tecnici all'Università di Grenoble, si trasferisce a Parigi per studiare cinema. Ha lavorato prima come tecnico del suono, montatore e direttore della fotografia, per poi passare alla regia.

Smadar and Mirit are two eighteen year old conscript soldiers. Their job is to patrol the streets of Jerusalem and check the identity cards of any Palestinians they come across. As they carry out their task the two girls reluctantly get to know each other, talking of their disappointments in love, the ups and downs of relationships with girlfriends. All the details of their lives, all their dreams and illusions blend in with everyday life.
