Titane racconta la storia di Vincent (Vincent Lindon), un pompiere che vive da 10 anni nella disperazione, a causa della scomparsa del figlio. Quando un ragazzo con il volto ferito afferma ai doganieri dell'aeroporto di essere Adrien Legrand, il figlio scomparso di Vincent, l'uomo tira finalmente un sospiro di sollievo. L'incubo in cui ha vissuto nell'ultimo decennio sembra aver trovato una fine. Senza alcun dubbio, Vincent porta il giovane a casa con sé.
Nel frattempo il paese è afflitto da una serie di omicidi poco chiari, tutti perpetrati dallo stesso assassino.

The only contact for him with the world is Stella, a girl who organizes weddings for tourists in search of aliens.
Titta is a cook in Chikù, an Italian-Roma restaurant where eight women from Scampia work. She lives in the same building where she was moved to as a girl after the 1980 earthquake, like many Naples families. Titta, as a woman and a mother and by retracing her history, restores a portrait of a neighbourhood: abandoned and desolate in the 90s and suffocated by the Camorra drugs trade in the early 2000s.
