Wide blue delivery

The Republic of Brazil freighter makes a route between Italy, the Mediterranean Sea and West Africa. There are 27 people on board, including Italians, Filipinos and Romanians. The film delves into the experience of seafarers’ very special lives, and reflects on human beings’ innate needs, through unique images and deep interviews, in a surprising and captivating journey among nature, iron, wisdom and fragility.

In un mondo sospeso nel tempo, la giornata degli individui è regolata da suoni provenienti da un altoparlante: svegliarsi, mangiare,allenarsi, riprodursi e dormire. Gli individui non sanno dell'esistenza delle donne e la riproduzione avviene tramite dei buchi nel muro(glory hole) con della musica di sottofondo emessa dall'altoparlante. Un giorno la musica salta ed "X", un individuo, sente un gemito femminile dall'altro lato della parete. “X” inizia a provare emozioni e a scoprire la propria identità. Ma la sua presa di coscienza non va bene per il sistema.

Xavier Dolan

The complete name is Xavier Dolan-Tadros. Born the 20th March 1989 is a Canadian actor, director, screenwriter, editor, costume designer, and voice actor. He began his career as a child actor in commercials before directing several arthouse feature films. He first received international acclaim in 2009 for his feature film directorial debut, I Killed My Mother (J'ai tué ma mère), which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Director's Fortnight section.

Rudy Mora’s film begins when a boy is late for his math exam at a music school. He justifies his tardiness by inventing a fantastic tale that sparks chaos among the students and worries his teachers. The course of events that follow casts doubt on the veracity of the boy’s tale and creates uncertainly about how possible it is for fantasy and dreams to form part of our everyday, ordinary lives.
