Zio Riz è il nome della canoa canadese sulla quale un uomo ridiscende le acque del fiume Volturno, a partire dalla sorgente di Rocchetta al Volturno, paradiso naturalistico incontaminato. Questo ideale Caronte ci porta lentamente dall’armonia naturale di quell’oasi protetta sempre più giù, lungo il fiume, fino alla foce nella città di Castel Volturno, un vero e proprio inferno metropolitano. Lo scandire delle stagioni è suggerito dalla pioggia, dalla neve che si scioglie, dal continuo scorrere dell’acqua fino all’essiccarsi del terreno, sferzato dal sole di mezzogiorno.

Josef Fares follows the successful comedies "Jalla! Jalla!" and "Kops" with Zozo, a significantly more dramatic and emotionally harged story, directed with Fares' trademark sense of humor and visual flare.

Zuxin Hou viene da Pechino,Cina, e si è laureata in sociologia all'Università cinese di Hong Kong e in Giornalismo nel 2009. Ha viaggiato molto in più di 20 paesi come studiosa di viaggi, fotografa e come comunità dedicata volontario. Ha lavorato come giornalista per il South China Morning Post (divisione di Hong Kong) e per il Beijing Youth Weekly. Nel 2012, è stata una delle principali concorrenti nella versione cinese di The Voice, una competizione canora televisiva. Lavora come sceneggiatrice, regista narrativa e di documentari sia in Cina che negli Stati Uniti.
