Per molti anni Christine ha vissuto sotto un ponte, isolata da tutta la famiglia e gli amici. In una notte come solo quelle delle favole, un bambino di 8 anni irrompe nel suo rifugio. Suli non parla francese, è smarrito, separato dalla madre… Insieme cominciano a cercarla. Per le strade di Parigi, Christine e Suli impareranno a conoscersi e ad addomesticarsi a vicenda. E Christine piano piano riesce a ritrovare un'umanità che pensava fosse scomparsa.
Napoli, seconda guerra mondiale. Quattro ragazzi inseguiti dai soldati tedeschi si nascondono in un edificio semidistrutto. Ma qualcosa durante la fuga li metterà di fronte a una scelta difficile: sacrificare la vita di uno di loro per poter sopravvivere.
